At this club we aim to be the best value club in Devon. Fees are deliberately kept as low to encourage as many people as possible to participate. The club is a members-only club, but joining is quick and simple and entitles members to unlimited court time and access to the various social activities throughout the year.
Please see the form below for the different fees for each age group ranging from £12 for juniors up to 12, £35 for students over 13 and £70 for adults. Concessions available for different ages and family membership.

Joining is easy, just click to open form below, fill it in, print it off and send to the address on the form and that's it! You'll be sent a code for accessing the courts and switching the lights on.

The entry code to the courts is changed periodically to maintain security and members will be advised of the new code as necessary.

LTA Membership Scheme

The membership form includes automatic membership of British Tennis. This is free and allows you to get information about British Tennis and LTA events up & down the country including Wimbledon.

Membership of British Tennis is required if you wish to participate in the annual ballot for Wimbledon tickets. Please be aware that British tennis may also require you to proactively opt in to the Wimbledon ballot.

If you do not wish to be a member of British Tennis you can opt out of it on the membership form.

Please Click here to join British Tennis and please make sure you name Newton Poppleford & Harpford Tennis Club as your club.

Court etiquette

We are an informal club, but we do need to apply some rules to maintain the club for everyone's enjoyment.
- Only tennis is to be played on the courts. No other games or activities are permitted unless specifically sanctioned by the club committee.
- Appropriate footwear is to be worn at all times.
- Swearing or other abusive behaviour will not be tolerated & may result in memberships being terminated prematurely.
- In the event that courts are fully occupied, players must yield the court within an hour of being asked to do so by another member.
- Players must keep the courts clean & tidy, take their own litter home, and report any damage to members of the committee.
- League tennis fixtures, pre-authorised matches such as friendlies, club events, club sessions and coaching will all take precedent and players may be asked to vacate the courts to make way for these events.
- our full rules are contained in our club constitution, a copy of which is below.
